What We Do
Founded by Dr. Melinda Freckleton in 2019, Firestar Veterinary Services is an equine ambulatory veterinary service providing high-quality horse care on the farm. Dr. Freckleton and her team will provide concierge medicine-style equine preventive care at a variety of levels. We are well equipped—our state-of-the-art Bay Horse truck body allows us to have all we need with us and ready to go.
We also have a brand the best in gentle dental equipment, an oral endoscope to allow viewing of the teeth, tonopen for glaucoma testing, ECG cardiac screening, centrifuge, stable lab SAA testing, and much more.
Preventative Care
We offer traditional problem-oriented equine ambulatory medicine in a friendly and practical style, based on the best science available.
Our goal is healthy horses, educated clients, and mutual respect and kindness for all involved.
Dentistry
Our team utlizes gentle dental equipment and our oral endoscope to provide the best care are for your equine's teeth.
Endocrinology
We offer diagnosing and management of hormonal disorders such as disorders like PPID (Cushing’s), Equine Metabolic Syndrome (EMS), and insulin dysregulation.
Soundness
From pre-purchase exams to lameness concerns, our team will diagnosis and treat soundness conconerns.
X-Ray
Our new Cuattro Slate digital x-ray unit meets all your x-ray needs from diognastic to radiographs for shoeing.
